developing stress, anger, anxiety and depression?

wellbeing, find new sources of resilience, joy and calm in your life, and to
cope with stress, anxiety, fear, and depression.
Topics can include:

Explore many tools, techniques and strategies that will help in stressful
situations

Apply tools, techniques and principles to a variety of contexts within
everyday life and for stress reduction
Create your own unique personal ’tool kit’ for times of overwhelm
"What if it were possible to help ourselves thrive,
rather than simply survive?" Suzy Reading
Your tutor is a certified life coach and will provide
advice, guidance and support to enable you to develop a birds-eye-view of your
life, build confidence, resilience and self-belief.
How will I learn?
This is an online course which includes some
interactive delivery from your tutor (up to 1.5 hours per week) along with
resources and exercises for you to utilise outside of the session. You will also
be required to do some work in between sessions.
To enhance
your learning, we will be asking you to record your progress and achievement
with comments on what you had learned during the course, what was challenging,
what suddenly fell into place etc. This will be via an interactive document
emailed between you and your tutor, to record comments.
What materials will I need?
We will be using ‘The Self-care Revolution’ book by
Suzy Reading throughout the course so you will need to buy your own copy -
available from The Works, Amazon and local bookstores - please contact us for
further details.
Don't worry if you haven't managed to get it for
the first week, we don't really need to have it to hand until the third week,
although you might like to get it earlier.
What previous knowledge or experience do I
need?
None – just bring an open mind!
Attendance
In order to get the most out of your course you will
need to attend every week. If you know you are going to miss several sessions
e.g. because of holiday, please talk to a member of staff before enrolling.
Do you have an additional support need?
There are many ways in which you can receive help with
your learning. If you feel you may need additional assistance, please contact us
before enrolling to discuss your requirements.
We can also offer Maths, English
and ICT courses to refresh your skills and complement your learning. Please ask
your tutor for more information or email
