Festive Fun in Lincolnshire

This Christmas time so many festive activities can be found right on our doorstep that can be fun for all ages.

Whether you are looking for fun for the family or an adult’s day out, Lincolnshire has it all. But where to go, what is going to be right up your street? Here are a few of our favourite Christmas activities!

One amazing way to spend your Christmas time this year is at the Lincoln Christmas Market. Every year the Lincoln Christmas market is always very popular with tourists who travel every year just for the market. The market contains many stalls including refreshments, crafts and even some rides that are illuminated in the cold winter nights and can be seen from miles around. However, it is worth noting that no dogs, apart from guide dogs, are permitted at the Christmas market.

Lincolnshire is full of characterful theatres and most of these will be putting on a festive Christmas pantomime (oh yes, they will). A popular theatre in the heart of Lincoln is The New Theatre Royal Lincoln. This year they are showing Cinderella, and I can assure you it will be amazing. The prices for regular showings are £26.50 for adults and £23.50 for U18’s and over 65’s as well as £90 for a family ticket, 2 adults and 2 children. They also will be producing a relaxed version where sound is reduced, the main lighting is increased, and no pyrotechnics or loud bangs will be used. These will cost £23.50 for adults and £21 for U18’s and over 65’s as well as £82 for a family. To add on to all of this, there will be a signed version for deaf people and those with impaired hearing at the same price as the relaxed version. Another amazing thing is that they have a prosecco bar so adults can have a little tipple pre-show.

So there you have it, two of our favourite ways to get into the festive spirit this Christmas. Have an amazing Christmas and a Happy New Year!

  1. Fabulous article Ryan! I’m really looking forward to the Christmas Market and spending lots of money on festive things I never knew I needed!

  2. Nice work Ryan! Christmas markets are always fun! Haven’t been to the one in Lincoln, but the ones in York and Newcastle are great! I will have to compare them with Lincoln’s this year.

  3. I think that’s a great idea, I may join you in decorating earlier this year. I think everyone could do with getting in the festive mood after such a roller coaster of a year
