Mini Home Movie Fest
- WINNERS ANNOUNCED -
While the world is in lockdown, many of us in the creative industries have found ourselves between work, with projects on hold or simply without a platform to unleash our creativity. This is exactly why we launched Mandy’s Mini Home Movie Fest! The ultimate chance to maximise our time indoors, our international festival saw creatives from across the world write, shoot and direct original mini-movies from their own home and post them on Instagram. After over 800 incredible submissions, we are excited to announce the winner and runners up in the Fest! Congratulations to those successful and a huge thank you to everyone who took part.
John May - Actor, UK - WINNER
Presenting his comedic performance style, John portrays the scouse Kenny Corona. His satirical piece demonstrates the heightened emotions and fake news circulating during this time. Albeit tongue in cheek, viewers can’t help but resonate with the absurdity of Kenny!
Neharika Shahi - Actor, UK - RUNNER UP
Shedding a spotlight on mental health, Neharika portrays a woman experiencing depression and the internal monologue she is battling. With many vulnerable people having no choice but to self-isolate, this mini-movie resonates as an important conversation we should be having.

Jacqueline Rosenthal - Videographer, USA - RUNNER UP
While the world is in lockdown, Jacqueline ironically brings the fear of an enemy into our own homes. Quarantine Creeper begins as an ordinary day and quickly builds to be something more sinister, playing on our own anxieties and that sometimes, there really is someone watching.
