Provision Grids
The Provision Grids relate to different areas of learning or need. They provide a best practice guide to identifying and meeting special educational needs. Suitable teaching and learning strategies and identification and assessment tools are illustrated within a tiered approach from whole setting to universal, targeted and personalised levels of provision.
The Provision Grids are based on best practice, research and the SEND Code of Practice 2015
Support at a targeted and personalised level assumes that the universal provision is in place. Additional support builds on, but does not replace, a foundation of good practice.
The provision grids are a guide and not an exhaustive list which you are limited to. Whilst every effort has been made to secure the veracity of the resources and strategies identified, they are offered as illustrative examples for securing good practice rather than a recommendation. We know that more resources and strategies are and will become available, and the Provision Grids will be updated regularly.
Please read the 'advice for practitioners' before using the Provision Grids.
