International Women’s Day (IWD) has been celebrated since the early 1900s. Although we’ve made great progress since then, the problem of gender inequality still persists around the world.
Just look at some of these stats and you’ll see there are still disparities between male and female counterparts:

  • 42% of women experience gender discrimination at work
  • 5 of the 14 top barriers women face in the workplace are related to discrimination and gender bias
  • Half of men believe women are well-represented at their company when 90% of senior leaders are men
  • 4% of C-Suite roles are held by women of colour
  • Bias is prevalent in every aspect of our lives. Our brains are hardwired to make judgements of things we encounter in order to make sense of the complicated world around us.

However, biases can cause us to discriminate against others, which can cause conflict between people. And most of this is done unconsciously. The best way to reduce unconscious gender bias is to learn about it and then implement it.

So we’ve put together this FREE 45-minute lunchtime webinar, where Laura Drury will look at how we can start to break the bias and create an inclusive environment for all.

This fun and interactive session will explore:

  • What unconscious bias is - the prevalence and nature of bias from a psychological and scientific perspective
  • The evolutionary psychology of bias – why we all have it and what it means
  • How to challenge engrained beliefs and bias systems and create an environment inclusive for all

So why not join us for our Breaking the Bias FREE webinar and let’s continue to fly the flag for women!
