Local History Month - Young History Detectives

As part of this special month to celebrate local History we are running an online version of our History Detectives course. Come and join us on this course to learn the skills you need to be able to investigate our local history. Detectives will share their discoveries with the rest of the group in the second week and look ahead to be able to use their new found skills for future stories they may explore by planning a local history project.

Picture Book Illustration - Children

As part of this great week, we are offering the opportunity to come and take part in this fun, interactive craft

workshop. The teacher will instruct you on how to create an illustration using collage and pattern, inspired by Eric

Carle, illustrator of The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Parents/carers with children in school will thoroughly enjoy this

engagement session which will allow you to learn about simple techniques you can copy at home to illustrate your

child’s favourite book

Share a Story Month - Young Storytellers

As part of this special month, we have a wonderful course for our learners. Children from KS1 and KS2 can access this course with their parents to write a story that they can share. The Teacher will guide you through the structure and outline of the story so you are able to create a fantastic tale. You will return on week 2 to finalise and share the story with the participants on the call. This is a great course to enable collaboration between parent/carer and children.
