School-Aged Immunisation Service

We were seen very quickly and the nurse was polite and efficient. I had a query about another vaccine for my other child which was answered knowledgeably.

The nurse was very kind and made my daughter feel at ease. She explained the process and reasons for immunisation. Also made sure she had my daughter’s consent. Appointment was on time too. No delays.

The staff were efficient, warm and welcoming. The nurses were so patient and caring with the children especially those who were clearly terrified of the needles. I was extremely impressed.

My son personally asked me to do this feedback and to thank Sandra. My son is autistic and extremely nervous around needles. He said Sandra made everyone leave the room and was super patient and comforting with him. Thank you Sandra.

My son is petrified of needles and I spoke to the nurse beforehand to advise her of this. She was amazing and made the experience as stress free as she could and reassured him constantly.

Put at ease, full explanation given, not rushed, daughters anxiety fully taken into consideration, very kind and thoughtful nurse.

Staff are kind, calm and we’re excellent at keeping my anxious daughter calm.

Nurses were chatty, caring, unrushed, genuinely interested in my daughter as a person not just getting her vaccination right for her. They understood she was anxious and feeling faint and made provision for that emotionally and practically.

My child was very nervous as is needle phobic and he was seen with patience, kindness and care. He was not rushed, he was able to voice his concerns and worries and was met with compassion.

My son suffers with severe anxiety and was extremely nervous whilst at the appointment. All 3 nurses were absolutely incredible with my son. They immediately put him at ease and explained everything to him whilst keeping him calm and reassured. I can’t thank these amazing ladies enough for the care and attention they gave to my son. I’m extremely grateful to them as without their expertise, he would have refused to have the injection. They kept him there about 20 minutes after the appointment to give his adrenaline a chance to reduce and explained sensitivity how his arm will feel for a couple of days, explaining that it is completely normal and not to worry. Thank you ladies.

Honestly, the nurse was fantastic so kind, reassured my daughter who became upset and made the whole thing very comfortable which will have a impact on her feelings around any further vaccinations. Good location - children’s centre was clean. Service was well organised.

The first lady realised that I had to go to the other person for my vaccine as I was outreach but was very nice and helpful and helped me to calm down. The second lady was aware of my notes and she knew exactly what to do to keep me calm. I have an extreme phobia and potentially PTSD so i was rather stressed even though I had taken a reasonable dose of anti-anxiety medication beforehand. She kept me away from things that might trigger me and helped encourage my friend to distract me. I haven’t had such a positive experience going for a test for over five years and started to cry after it was done out joy and relief and gratefulness - She understood exactly that I didn’t want to know when it was going to be done and gave a subtle countdown before doing it so i didn’t have the chance to tense or become overwhelmed. I cannot express a big enough thank you to this lady as without her I wouldn’t have been able to go study Radiography at university in September.

Really helpful and friendly staff - my son needs additional support due to anxiety over vaccinations and the team were fantastic.

Staff were welcoming and helpful. They instantly noticed that my child was nervous and went out of their way to reassure her. They were patient and kind.

Excellent communication via email and text confirmation of apt with reminder the day before. We were taken straight in to the apt even though we arrived early so my son did not have time to become anxious.

Sandra was so friendly and made me feel really relaxed and answered any questions I had.

Amazingly excellent. My granddaughter has had a phobia regarding injections which she is trying hard to get over, The lady we saw was brilliant and did everything she could to help my granddaughter receive the vaccination.

Tim was very friendly with my children and made them at ease. Would like to come back again after this experience.
