Karen Broude is a contemporary textile artist, with a passion for vivid colours and tactile patterns.  Her work is abstract but draws elements from many places, particularly in the brightness of everyday life and the world around her.

After studying for several years, Karen has ultimately attained a BA (hons) degree in Creative Textiles.

 

Karen has had her work displayed in galleries throughout London and exhibited at Top Drawer 2017.  She is a member of the Society for Designer Craftsmen. She also creates commissioned pieces for anything from a contemporary home to a public space.

 

Her latest artwork is based on photographs of bright lights which inspire her and provoke an emotional response. The images have been digitally manipulated to produce vibrant and dramatic designs that can be printed onto any material. The fabric can be used as wall art, upholstery and even wearable art.
