Story

Hi, thanks for clicking the link to my fundraising page. My name is Nik Sharma (DrNikSOrtho - Twitter/Instagram) and I am excited about running the London Marathon in April to raise money for Orthopaedic charities as part of The Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Institute, Oswestry.

I had initially planned to run in October last year, but suffered an injury to my knee. All due to not taking training seriously! After recovering, and with help from some of my physiotherapy colleagues, I have modified my training program, and now excited about running in April. Regardless of what happens now, I will finish this!!

I am currently a Sports Knee Fellow in Wrightington and working with a team of runners to raise money for the Orthopaedic Institute. The money raised will be used to help support patients who have been affected by musculoskeletal or orthopaedic injuries, including spine injuries and those with tumours.

This charity is particularly close to me as it is affiliated with the institution (Oswestry/Stoke) that has trained and supported me over the years as a surgeon in training.

I will be grateful for your support,

Best Wishes

Nik Sharma
