What we are doing
Emergency closure on Sidmouth Drive
Due to safety concerns and following discussions with the London Borough of Hillingdon, we have taken the decision to close Sidmouth Drive at the junction with West End Road. The closure will be in place from Wednesday 24 August for approximately two weeks, until we complete the utility works on West End Road.
We need to close Sidmouth Drive to control the flow of traffic in the area and ensure that pedestrians and our workforce are safe at all times.
This is the similar to the closure that was in place in January to facilitate utility survey works. We will ensure that adequate signage and supervision is in place for the duration of these works.
There will be a diversion route to be used during the road closure. The diversion will be fully signed and managed at both ends of the closed section. The diversion route will be via West End Road, Torrington Road, and Victoria Road. Please see maps overleaf showing the location of the road closure and diversion route.
