Community Organisations Cost of Living Fund

£76 million Community Organisations Cost of Living Fund being delivered.

Applies to England

Applications for this fund have now closed.

The fund was open for applications from 24 July 2023 to 16 October 2023.

Details

On 24 July 2023, the government launched the Community Organisations Cost of Living Fund (CCLF), which is being delivered by The National Lottery Community Fund (TNLCF).

The £76 million package of funding aims to maintain and expand support for people and communities under severe pressure because of the increased cost of living, by distributing grants to critical frontline services seeing increased demand and increased delivery costs.

Grant awards are being decided through a competitive process, following applications from eligible organisations.

We will provide further details of all organisations awarded onward grants through the CCLF at the end of the fund.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this funding your organisation must:

  • offer critical services to low income households and individuals around at least one of the following: food and emergency supplies, emergency shelter, safe spaces, warmth and financial or housing advice
  • be able to demonstrate increased demand and increased costs for those critical services
  • be registered with the Charity Commission or an incorporated not-for-profit company
  • provide services to a local community in England - with a focus on small and medium organisations, although national organisations can apply where they can demonstrate local impact

Eligible organisations were able to apply for grants of £10,000 to £75,000.

Funding is available for the costs of delivering services between the fund’s launch on 24 July 2023 and 31 March 2024, including continuing existing provision, expanding the capacity of services to meet demand or adapting services to respond to new needs in local communities.

For further information, see the applicant guidance on TNLCF’s website. If you have any questions about this funding, contact The National Lottery Community Fund.
