This page collects documents setting out how the UK Shared Prosperity Fund will be evaluated in line with its overall objectives of building pride in place and increasing life chances across the UK.

The ‘UKSPF evaluation strategy’ explains how the different components of the evaluation will operate, including:

  • the evaluation methods that will be used to assess the Fund’s impact, process and value for money at the intervention, place and programme level;
  • the data sources that will be used to support the evaluation; and
  • the role of local areas in supporting the evaluation.

The ‘Randomised controlled trials: expression of interest guidance’ sets out how places can apply to have their UKSPF projects evaluated through a randomised controlled trial funded by DLUHC through submission of the expression of interest form also found on this page.

The ‘UK Shared Prosperity Fund: intervention-level evaluation feasibility report’ presents the outcome of an in-depth scoping exercise to determine how the UKSPF interventions can be evaluated. The report discusses the definition and structure of using “Study Groups” to focus evaluation activity and presents options for delivering process, impact and value for money evaluations.
