Details

The Environment Agency must review its preliminary flood risk assessment (PFRA) every 6 years.

Parts of the Severn and Dee River Basin Districts lie in Wales. Read the PFRA reports produced jointly by the Environment Agency and Natural Resources Wales (NRW) for the whole of each of these river basin districts on the NRW website.

Part of the Solway Tweed river basin district lies in Scotland. Read about the national flood risk assessment (Scotland does not use the term PFRA) and flood risk management in Scotland on the SEPA website.

To view maps showing topography and land use in each river basin district in England, go to data.gov.uk and search for preliminary flood risk assessment maps (cycle 2) in open data.
