These reports are commissioned by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government and are intended to establish how High Pressure Laminate panels in combination with stone wool insulation behave in a fire.
The test was carried out by the Fire Protection Association on 11 July 2019. The detailed design of the test has been reviewed by the Expert Panel. The system was selected to ensure that it is representative of the systems that are in common use.
Video footage of the tests are provided which should be viewed alongside the visual observations recorded in the associated test report. The fire test on 18 June 2019 (report dated 21 June 2019) was terminated early due to a problem with the extinguishing procedure on the test day. As such the full test programme was not completed as per the test standard and the test was deemed null and void.
