This 3 hour fully funded interactive online training session is aimed to improve your skills and confidence to support someone and guide them to the help they need.
There will be 4 evening sessions which are 4:30-7:30pm and 2 weekend sessions to help those unable to do it during the day.
Eligibility
Training is provided free for people working/volunteering and/or living in Worcestershire supporting those aged over 18.
Objectives for the training:
100% of learners will be able to understand the impact of stigma, attitudes, myths and language about suicide
100% of learners will be able to explain the correct language to use regarding suicide
90% of learners will feel more confident about having an open, non-judgemental, sensitive and safe conversation with the person
100% of learners will improve their knowledge of how to explore intensity and what actions to take, including making a support plan
100% of learners will be able to suggest signposting routes for support
