About this event

There will be £300 charge enforced for failure to turn up or cancellations within 10 days of the course start date, this is the standard cost of this course. You can book a place if you work or study in the London Boroughs of Barking & Dagenham, City & Hackney, City of London, Havering, Newham, Redbridge, Tower Hamlets & Waltham Forest

You will be required to provide a delivery address for the learning materials to be shipped to. You will need to have a working microphone and camera on the day. This is an interactive course and requires full participation from group. The standard cost of the this course is £300

Dates & Times

Day 1: Monday 20th February 2023 (09:30-17:00)

Day 2: Monday 6th March 2023 (09:30-17:00)

This course qualifies you as a Mental Health First Aider (MHFAider®), giving you:

• An in-depth understanding of mental health and the factors that can affect wellbeing

• Practical skills to spot the triggers and signs of mental health issues

• Confidence to step in, reassure and support a person in distress

• Enhanced interpersonal skills such as non-judgemental listening

• Knowledge to help someone recover their health by guiding them to further support - whether that’s self-help resources, through their employer, the NHS, or a mix

Cost

This course is valued at £300 per person.

Format

• This is an in person face-to-face course.

• Learning takes place over two seperate training sessions on different days.

• Each session is built around a Mental Health First Aid action plan

• We limit numbers to 16 people per course so that the instructor can keep people safe and supported while they learn

Takeaways

Everyone who completes the course gets:

• A certificate of attendance to say you are a Mental Health First Aider

• A manual to refer to whenever you need it

• A quick reference card for the Mental Health First Aid action plan

• A workbook including a helpful toolkit to support your own mental health
