61% of adults struggle to understand health information that contains both words and numbers.
The Health Literacy Awareness training introduces you to health literacy, the impact of low-level health literacy on individuals, and some of the tools, techniques, and resources to help support those with limited health literacy.
This session is aimed at anyone who provides information to patients and carers or has a responsibility in planning and shaping services.
The Health Literacy Awareness training is offered by the North East London Primary Care Knowledge Specialist (NELPCKS) service. The NEL PCKS project is funded by Health Education England until January 2024 and is hosted by the NELFT Library and Knowledge Service.
