Today i am writing for the urge for the SQA to reconsider the act of the final grade of students in 2021.

“Final assessment” is just a mockery of the word, it’s where students like myself need to do an exam in classrooms where our final grade will be judged apon, bare in mind we were only in school for less than 4 months, most of us less with the isolation. We get told about exams cancelled what relives stress of final grade since the lack of education we have received only to be told less than a month we are away to do an “Final Assessment” for it to based on our grade, why not just call it an exam? for it to have the exact same purpose. Now students need to try to revise a whole year worth of course what most haven’t finished yet less than a month what is impossible to get accurate result since we have taught ourselves. Deprived schools have missed a severe lack of education, teachers and course work what is significant, also with other schools falling behind. Have you considered the ones who have learning disabilities? like myself i suffer, I am finding it merely impossible without having the time to make it manageable to have all information for less than a month, what grades i’ll get that decides my employment. Mental health sufferers have also risen drastically during lockdown especially those in school. This is your future generation people.

Now, i understand the SQA have tried to make an “accurate” and “fair” decision to get grades very fair to each person, but making an exam in a short amount of study but just changing the name is an outrage when the lack of education is significant and not even finished, i urge you to please reconsider thank you.
