The Bring it on Brum / HAF / FSM (Free School Meal) code is all the same thing; just called different things!

Bring it on Brum! is for children and young people eligible for benefits-related free school meals. For all children and young people that go to school in Birmingham and are eligible for free school meals, their parent/carer should have received a Bring it on Brum / HAF / FSM code from their child’s school. Unique codes are given for each child and are different for each holiday period (spring, summer and winter). These codes can be used to book activities with your chosen holiday club provider.

Children who go to school in Birmingham

If your child goes to a state school in Birmingham and is eligible for benefits-related free school meals, please contact your child’s school if you have not been sent a code to use when booking. The schools are sent the codes from the Education team at Birmingham City Council. The Bring it on Brum team do not have access to the codes so it’s important you contact your child’s school directly in the first instance.

Children who live in Birmingham but go to school outside of Birmingham, go to a Faith School or are home schooled.

There are many children who live in Birmingham and go to school outside of the city; in one of the neighbouring local authority areas. Other children may go to a Faith School or be home-schooled. If your child is eligible for benefits-related free school meals and does not attend a Birmingham state school but is eligible to access a Bring it on Brum holiday club; please use this code when booking your activities: 3033300. You can also find out about holiday clubs in other local authority areas HERE.

Vulnerable children, those with EHCPs and children with special educational needs and disabilities.

Bring it on Brum is for other children too; we are prioritising vulnerable young people, those with EHCPs and those with a disability and/or a special educational need. If you are looking to book activities for a child who is not eligible for benefits-related free school meals but needs to access free holiday provision due to their additional needs or vulnerability, please contact your child’s school to get a code. The codes are linked to the school your child goes to. You may still need to select ‘Yes’ to the free school meal eligibility but make sure you use this code. Visit our SEND page for more information on clubs that can provide exclusive and inclusive provision for disabled young people and those with a special educational need.
