What is Health Spot?

We are accepting new patients aged 11 – 19, and up to 25 with SEND.

Not feeling 100%? Not sure where to go? Health Spot is here to help. See a Doctor or specialist Nurse for free.

Health Spot puts young people in control of their healthcare. You can count on our Spotlight youth workers and Health Spot team to support and guide you every step of the way.

Friendly and free appointments

At Health Spot, you can have an appointment with a doctor who is experienced in supporting young people. Don’t worry, all appointments are confidential. Our staff are really friendly and non-judgemental, so you can talk to them about anything.

On this page you’ll find out what confidentiality means, and your health rights.

How do appointments work?

Appointments are with a doctor. You can go to your appointment on your own. Or if you’d like someone with you, ask us to have a trusted youth worker, friend or parent with you, only if that makes you more comfortable.

You will be able to safely access advice, receive prescriptions and more.

Appointments are available in-person or over the phone or video call, depending on what you prefer.

How long is an appointment?

Each consultation is 30 minutes, but can be longer if needed. Please ask us if you need a double appointment.

Can I request a male or female doctor?

Health Spot has both a male and a female doctor, so if you would like to be seen by a doctor of the same gender please ask when booking your appointment.

  • You ask us to
  • We believe your life, or someone else’s, is in danger
  • You’re being hurt by someone in a position of trust who is able to hurt other children, like a teacher, religious leader, sports coach, police officer, doctor
  • You tell us that you’re seriously hurting another person
  • You tell us about another child who’s being hurt and is not able to tell someone or understand what is happening to them
  • We’re told we have to by law, for example a court case
