Radio General Membership
PURPOSE.
Members help to provide the Health & Wellbeing radio service broadcasting from
The Keith Inman Studios located in Warrington Hospital.
The station has 2 aims to provide a radio service that is targeted:
• at the patients and staff of Warrington Hospital, and
• to the wider Warrington community promoting Health & Wellbeing.
MEMBERS ROLES:
Programming you can get involved in includes:
> music requests.
> health promotion.
> items of local interest.
> outside broadcasts at local events.
> commentaries on the Warrington Wolves and Widnes Vikings home games.
Roles available:
> Programme Production.
> Outside Broadcasts.
> Rugby Commentaries.
> Roadshows.
> Ward Visiting only.
> Non-Broadcasting Roles are also available such as:
.... Publicity.
.... Programming Research.
.... Fund Raising.
.... Administration.
.... Technical.
Minimum age is 16. Membership of the station is required, and a yearly membership subscription fee is payable. The subs contribute to help cover the running costs of the radio station. Radio General is a charity (Registered No. 505774).

I have volunteered with Radio General for a number of years. As well as being able to host my own shows on the station, I have been able to host a number of outside events on behalf of the station and also been part of the stations rugby league coverage at both Warrington Wolves & Widnes Vikings. This is an amazing opportunity to help others while learning new skills
