Comedy, intrigue and a bit of local history
Carl Chinn MBE, historian, writer and broadcaster, compered the evening and kept proceedings fun and lively. You’ve probably heard him on the radio and read his work in the papers – he’s one of the Midlands’ most famous local historians and is a well-known manufacturing champion.
We also welcomed Peter Marsh, writer and lecturer on 21st century manufacturing as the keynote speaker. Peter has given talks on manufacturing opportunities in 16 countries including China, Italy and Brazil. His best known book is “The New Industrial Revolution: Consumers, Globalization and the End of Mass Production”, published by Yale University Press.
