Our award-winning Service Champions Training enables you to learn more about the Armed Forces community and become a Service Champion for your organisation. The Armed Forces community is made up of Serving Personnel (Regular or Reserve), Veterans/Former Service Personnel, and their immediate families or carers.
The CPD accredited training is delivered via MS Teams and it is designed for people who are interested in helping their service/organisation, to become more Armed Forces community aware.
I attended the Service Champions Course yesterday online it was incredibly informative! The session covered vital updates on the Armed Forces Act 2021, insights into diversity, health inequalities, and data, and discussions on veterans’ groups and support mechanisms like OpCOMMUNITY. The interactive discussions on being a Service Champion and sharing examples of good practices were insightful. Thank for you for arranging and for fostering such a collaborative learning environment. I would highly recommend this for anyone….!

It is even more important for organisations to raise their awareness with the inclusion of the Armed Forces community in the NHS Constitution, the Armed Forces Act 2021 “Due Regard” and other key reports and research.
The training also provides an opportunity to understand why organisations should support the work, what help and support may be applicable to individuals, what resources are available and why there is a need to network with others in your area.
The Service Champion Training is currently provided free of charge to all NHS staff across England, the Dept for Work and Pensions and any organisation within the borders of Sussex, Kent & Medway, Hampshire and Surrey. If you don’t fall into one of these categories please contact us and we will see what we can do to facilitate you.
