Peacehaven and Telscombe Neighbourhood Plan Focussed Consultation

Background

Peacehaven and Telscombe Parish Councils have prepared a Neighbourhood Development Plan for the parishes. The Plan sets out a vision for the future of the area and planning policies which will be used to determine planning applications locally. A Regulation 16 Consultation was carried out from Thursday 12th October 2023 to Friday 24th October 2023.

Following this consultation, in late December 2023, the Government published a new version of the National Planning Policy Framework (the NPPF). This replaced the version which formed part of the previous consultation exercise that was held on the submission draft Peacehaven and Telscombe Neighbourhood Plan. As a consequence, given the importance of the NPPF in the basic conditions test, it has been decided that a further focussed consultation period was necessary.

This Focussed Consultation

As stated, this is a focused consultation exercise. The question being asked is: Do any of the changes introduced through the new NPPF (Dec 2023) have implications for the Peacehaven and Telscombe NP with regard to it meeting the relevant basic condition test?

If you have previously made representations on this plan that are unaffected by any of the changes to the NPPF, you do not need to re-submit your comments. All representations received during the Regulation 16 consultation stage that ran 12th October 2023 - 24th November 2023 will be 'rolled forward'.

This is not an opportunity to submit new comments or to provide additional information connected to any previously made representation that is not relevant to the question being asked.
