PDSCP - FREE - Suicide First Aid Lite with Young People

This half-day training is being delivered virtually via Zoom.
This FREE training aims to give learners the knowledge on how to have a caring conversation that could save a life.
This course is free, but a £25 admin fee will be applied to late cancellations (within 14 days of the course date) and non attendance.

Description
Teaching the theory of suicide intervention skills that can be applied in any professional or personal setting, captured in a 3.5-hour event. The NCSPET - National Centre for Suicide Prevention, Education and Training’s experienced trainers will be delivering this unique learning experience for anyone who seeks greater understanding and confidence to intervene with people at risk of suicide.

SFA Lite YP is comprised of 2 parts:
Part 1 – approx. 90mins Introduction to the day; programme; ourselves and suicide prevention Stigma, Survivors of bereavement by suicide and the Hidden Toll Suicide – the Ripple Effect Suicide thoughts and suicide behaviour
Part 2 – approx. 90mins “I’m so glad you told me” audio visual – Young People Meeting the needs of a young person who is thinking about suicide Suicide-Safety Guide including our 3-step approach to having a caring conversation about suicide with young people.

Please check your Internet bandwidth using Speedtest before booking this course; we are not responsible for loss of signal during training. If you live in a remote location or have network issues you may want to login from a different location (if possible) to have the best chance of an uninterrupted session.
