Description
The course will address the different needs of the different family members, this will address whether the child/young person has abused either within the family home or in the community.
The course will also explore the services and resources that are available, including the AIM model of assessment and intervention guidance.
Outcomes
- An improved ability to identify whether sexual behaviour is developmentally appropriate, problematic or harmful.
- A greater understanding of the prevalence of harmful sexual behaviour.
- A better understanding of the possible pathways to harmful sexual behaviour.
- Greater confidence in identifying and responding to concerns of harmful sexual behaviour.
- Greater confidence in developing robust and effective safety plans to manage harmful sexual behaviour.
- Greater confidence in supporting non-abusing family members to respond to, and effectively manage, harmful sexual behaviour.
