This half-day training is being delivered virtually via Zoom.

The aim of this course is to understand and explore what a trauma informed approach looks like and reflect on your practice.

Description

This course will help you to understand and explore what a trauma informed approach looks like and reflect on your practice. You will also take away some practical tools to help you respond in a more trauma informed way when you work with service users and others.

Outcomes

  • Increase understanding about the impact of trauma on the children and family we work with.
  • Consider what happens to the brain when we experience traumatic events.
  • Consider how trauma responses are based on past traumatic experiences.
  • Re-frame thinking about human response, challenging your view about ‘difficult behaviours’.
  • To enable you to view your work through a trauma lens.
  • To be introduced to what the components are of a Trauma Informed Organisation.
  • Signposting to practical toolkits & Self-Care.
