The testing and evaluation model has been co-developed by the participating Innovation Sites (InSites), NHS England, and Mid and South Essex (MSE) ICS – who host the Programme Management Office and Coordination Hub for the NHS InSites Programme.

This collaborative and co-designed programme has five aims:

1. Evaluating innovations supported by NHS England’s Innovation, Research, Life Sciences and Strategy programme supported in real-world settings generate evidence of their effectiveness and impact;
2. Expanding the CEP InSites provider-driven model maximising impact
3. Developing the organisational capability and infrastructure of the NHS InSites;
4. Supporting the development of an NHS innovation culture and talent pool; and
5. understanding the strategies for successful implementation thus informing NHSE’s and the wider NHS’ future innovation policy and strategy with aligned processes and avoiding duplication
