The NGPS Flexible Workforce Hub (Flexipool) provides staff to GP practices across Newcastle to help reduce the pressures on workforce.
Flexipool offers practices access to trained, skilled and experienced clinical and non-clinical staff, capable of working in a number of roles. Practices can request staff to cover planned leave, existing vacancies and short-notice unplanned absence.
There are also volunteering opportunities and practices can request volunteers for roles such as Patient Meet and Greet and NHS App Support.
We are recruiting for the following roles:
- GPs
- Admin/receptionists
- Health Care Assistant
- Practice Nurse
- Registered General Nurse
- Phlebotomist
- Medical Secretary
- Advanced Nurse Practitioner
Our nursing staff have a range of skills and competencies including NHS Health Checks, long term condition reviews, immunisations (including baby immunisations), contraception and HRT reviews, injections and wound care.
joining the flexipool team
To join the Flexipool team, you’ll need to complete an Expression of Interest form, and tell us a bit more about your skills and experience. Everyone who joins the team gets an induction and appropriate training and, if you’re new to general practice, we offer additional support. We go through periods of being inundated with applications so If you have applied, please be patient as we may not be able to reply immediately.
