BFI Documentary Course 16-19

We hope you are keeping well and coping well with the restrictions and challenges brought about by Covid-19. We applaud all of you for adapting to remote teaching and new practices for in-person teaching. We haven't been able to make much  content as a result but we have lots of brilliant new resources coming soon. In the meantime, we have an opportunity that some of your pupils might be interested in.


Do you know any budding young filmmakers who are aged 16-19?

CTVC, our parent company, works in partnership with the British Film Institute to deliver the BFI Documentary Academy 2021. This exciting online course offers masterclasses with OSCAR and BAFTA winning filmmakers, practical skills workshops and support in the production of short documentary films. Course alumni have further opportunities for additional work experience and training. We are looking for young people across the UK with a passion for documentary film, no educational qualifications are required.

Dates: Selected evenings and weekends from Jan 23rd - March 25th 2021.

Eligibility: Participants must be aged between 16-19 at the start of the course, be a UK resident and not at university.

Course fee: £50 . We have a generous bursary scheme so if you cannot afford this it will be waived.
