The NHS London Anchor Network has been established to address health inequalities in the capital and to maximise the NHS’ role in London’s economic, social, and cultural recovery. We are holding the fourteenth session in our monthly ‘lunch and learn’ series.
At February's Lunch and Learn we are delighted to welcome Roger Kline OBE, to give a presentation on equality, diversity, and inclusion in the NHS. Roger is the author of “No more tick boxes: a review of the evidence on how to make recruitment and career progression fairer” (2021), and “The Snowy White Peaks of the NHS” (2014). He designed the Workforce Race Equality Standard (WRES) and was then appointed as the joint national director of the WRES team from 2015-17.
This talk will include an overview of challenges, evidence-based solutions, and best practice principles in recruiting and retaining a diverse and inclusive workforce. It will be directly relevant to NHS workforce leads, HR and OD teams, and colleagues delivering on widening participation and anchor ambitions.
