Livery Education Conference Feedback – 21 November 2023
It was really good to see nearly 90 people at the Livery education conference last week and to meet several of you who I know by email but not in person.
The feedback was overall positive and clearly the event was enjoyed by attendees. The overall rating for the conference on a four-point scale based on 50 returns was:
Excellent 74% and Good 26%. Last year the figures were very similar at: Excellent 76% and Good 24%. As usual at the end of the conference delegates are in a rush to depart and we only received feedback forms from about half the delegates.
Several participants said how much they enjoyed the table discussions as an opportunity to share ideas on how schools need help. The two key messages seem to be:
- The need for skills education both inside and outside the formal curriculum.
- Schools would like more information about what specific help different Companies can give.
LSL will talk to people to see how we can best help.
Overall, it was a good morning and felt a worthwhile event.

Does Your School Need Volunteers?
We would like to remind you that we now have a different system for organising careers talks. In summer 2020 we joined the LSL volunteering platform with two partner charities ‘Inspiring the Future’ and ‘Speakers for Schools’. They will help you create careers events tailor-made for your school. We are also in discussions with our two partner charities: for virtual work experience as part of the Livery offer on the volunteer platform.
