Virtual medicinal products changing from SNOMED Core code to SNOMED UK extension

The following table lists the sample and 18 batches of VMP changes due this year, as well as invalid concepts that will not be updated.

These VMPs currently have a core SNOMED code (VPID in each spreadsheet) that will be updated to a UK extension code. The current core code will move to the previous VMP ID field (VPIDPREV) and the date the change occurred in the date field (VPIDDT).

Please note that where a VMP currently has a previous ID populated, this data will no longer appear in the dm+d files but historical data will be available as an additional XML release file with the dm+d weekly release.

Please ensure you are using the most up-to-date information, as published on this site, and not a 'saved copy' in case any unforeseen circumstances result in changes to the batches or dates.
