Suspected armed robber threatening hotel guests with gun apprehended in Delta

A police patrol team attached to the Umunede Division have arrested one Precious Azuka with a locally made cut-to-size gun.

The suspect’s arrest came following a distress call received from Dominion hotel’s & suit in Umunede, that a man was threatening their customers with a gun and sending them away, thereby constituting nuisance and disturbing the public peace within the vicinity.

The Delta State Police Command led by CP Ari Muhammad Ali confirmed the report in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe.

The Police image maker said, “consequently, Patrol team attached to Umunede Division deployed to the scene where the suspect upon sighting the Police took to his heels, he was chased and the suspect named Precious Azuka was arrested.

According to DSP Edafe, “One locally made cut-to-size gun was recovered from him. Investigation is ongoing.”
