Athletics NI are hosting an athletics summer scheme for children aged 9-11. There will be 5 regions for the scheme, with the top 3 girls and boys from each competing in a final at the Belfast International Meet on 11th September at the Mary Peters Track.
The summer scheme aims to introduce children to the sport of athletics and will be run in conjunction with affiliated athletics clubs, with the support of the Northern Ireland Office. The scheme will be led by Athletics NI Qualified Coaches and children will take part in 60m, 400m, Standing Long Jump, Javelinn howlers and relays. The areas and clubs are as follows:
