Celebrating becoming a University NHS Trust

Celebrating becoming a University NHS Trust

We are celebrating gaining University Trust status from Keele University.

From Tuesday 4 April 2023, we will be known as Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust.

We will continue to use MPFT, for short, as this is widely used and well recognised.

The award is in recognition of our contribution to research and education over a number of years. We play an active part in training the next generation of health and care professionals, as well as improving services offered locally and nationally through our research programmes.

In this episode, we will hear from some of those who have led the way in marking this exciting new chapter for the Trust.

0-19 Service: The Dangers of Button Batteries

In episode 63 of The MPFT Podcast, Carol and Caroline (both Health Visitors with the Families Health and Wellbeing Service 0-19) talk about the dangers of button batteries. They share great advice and information about why they are dangerous, what parents and carers can do to keep their children safe, and what action to take if a button battery is swallowed. Finally they encourage you to do a button battery hunt in your own home.

Further information about button battery safety can be found on the Child Accident Prevention Trust and Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents websites.
