Ad Net Zero Hosts Reception for US Adland’s Leaders at The British Consulate in New York

19 October 2022

Yesterday, more than 80 US advertising industry leaders gathered at the residence of His Majesty’s Trade Commissioner for North America, Emma Wade Smith OBE, to hear all about the plans of Ad Net Zero for 2023.  Guests mingled and enjoyed the views of the New York skyline while listening to the tune of a live four-piece jazz band.

Emma welcomed everyone with a personal story about the importance of all of us coming together to address the global issue that is climate change, doing everything in our creative power to tackle it. Her speech touched on the UK’s creative strength – a theme that was echoed and then doubly reinforced by Advertising Week’s Chairman, Matt Scheckner.

Matt’s passion for the UK’s creative power to truly punch above its weight was clear as he urged the industry leaders in the room to embrace Ad Net Zero and to come together and work on solutions to build a better, sustainable world.

John Osborn, Ad Net Zero USA Director, thanked the Global Group members for their support in helping to roll out the initiative into the US market. He then took the chance to announce the two new companies which have just joined Ad Net Zero: Reckitt and PubMatic.

Ad Net Zero welcomes every company who wants to join the initiative and become in the supporter, in the US and across the world.
