RBCS for Social Care

We are delighted to be able to offer a RBCS programme specifically for nurses and nurse associates in social care in any settings in England.

Funded by NHS England, the programme is offered free of charge.

This restorative form of supervision is very much needed in the social care sector and offers a supportive safe space where people can explore issues and their feelings, which can affect how they carry out their work when caring for a vulnerable population.

This programme is available to any nurse or nurse associate in any social care setting in England. The programme is delivered virtually to a group of participants, using MS Teams, by FoNS facilitators.

  • Recommended pre-work (up to 1 hour)
  • Sessions 1-3 (3 hours each) – around one week apart. These sessions will focus on both the principles underpinning RBCS and the practice of RBCS
  • Sessions 4-5 (2 hours each) – around one month apart. These sessions will focus on the practice of RBCS and the cascade of RBCS within your organisation

The total commitment 14 hours per participant, including pre-work, group work, reflection and evaluation. This can be used as part of Continuous Professional Development for revalidation.

The RBCS programme is participatory and involves active learning and therefore requires commitment and engagement from the start. It is delivered online in groups of up to 8 and requires participants to have a camera and microphone, as well as a quiet space.

We are using an online booking form and you will also need to send the Manager’s Release Form, so your line manager can confirm he/she is happy to release you for all of the sessions.
