Pendle YES Hub

If you are aged 16 to 24, are looking for work and live in Pendle, get in touch to access free support, training and social activities that aim to boost your skills, wellbeing and confidence. We have helped over 130 young people secure employment since opening in 2021.

Everyone's situation is different. That's why we offer a tailored approach to every young person who contacts us. We are here to help you tackle anything that may be preventing you from entering employment, supporting you with both your personal and professional development.

Pendle YES Hub can provides services and advice to address a variety of issues you may be facing, including homelessness, domestic abuse, nutrition, CV writing and interview skills.

We also offer free sport and arts activities, wellbeing sessions and a variety of free courses, working with a wide range of local organisations to bring the best support for the young people of Pendle. Free weekly activities include badminton, gym/swim sessions, snooker and more - view our weekly calendar here.

Attendees have also taken part in day trips together, including caving, kayaking and hiking. Many have made strong connections and friendships with other local young people after taking part in these free activities.

Pendle YES Hub became an official licensed centre for the Duke of Edinburgh Award in November 2021. The award equips young people with the development of essential life and work skills. It is a recognised mark of achievement respected by employers.

What do people say about us?

“I have pushed myself to come out of my comfort zone and got involved with activities I never thought I would have if it wasn’t for the support of the Hub. I can now leave the house and do normal day-to-day things, such as shopping rather than ordering things online and sitting around waiting.”

“The fact that the staff at the hub have been supportive and genuine people who care and want the best for individuals has helped me.”

Why is the support free?

We secured funding from the Nelson Town Deal in 2022 to support local young people until at least 2026. Pendle YES Hub is delivered in partnership by Active Lancashire and PAC - Positive Action In The Community on behalf of Pendle Borough Council, with the Hub's other key partners being Job Centre Plus, Nelson & Colne College and Lancashire Adult Learning.
