RHE and RSHE Policy Consultation

The Department for Education has announced changes to relationships, sex and health education.

In our primary schools this is relationships and health education (RHE) and in our secondary schools this is relationships, sex and health education (RSHE).

These changes came into effect from September 2020 and all schools must follow the updated requirements. This means that as a Trust we are reviewing our curriculum and policy so that we can be sure our provision is appropriate for our learners based on their:

  • Age
  • Physical and emotional maturity
  • Religious and cultural backgrounds
  • Special education needs and/or disabilities

How you can help us make sure our RHE/RSHE curriculum is suitable for our learners:

  1. Read the proposed policy and curriculum documents below.
  2. Fill in the correct family or staff feedback form at the bottom of the page.

We will also be getting feedback from children in relevant lessons and holding additional Family Forums to discuss the proposals.
