Redrow Homes Ltd is pleased to present proposals for the next phase of development at Parcel 8 in Alkerden South, within the wider Ebbsfleet Garden City.
The site has outline planning consent and lies within a much larger mixed use development area covering Eastern Quarry.
Planning permission for 227 homes within Parcel 1, located approximately 280m to the south was granted in April 2022, and construction has commenced.
The proposals that are the subject of this consultation are for approximately 160 apartments (one and two bedroom) within a landscaped setting to create a new high quality residential area.

Redrow welcome your comments on our proposals as we aim to submit a reserved matters planning application for the site in Autumn 2023.
The site
The site is located in Alkerden South, Eastern Quarry.
It is 0.84 hectares in size.
It is currently undeveloped.
The site is located within the centre of Alkerden Village, directly adjoining Fastrack and within close proximity to a host of amenities and services.
Site preparation works have already been completed, with the site consisting of a level platform.
The proposals are in accordance with the outline planning permission for Eastern Quarry and associated approved plans and strategies.
Redrow have undertaken pre-application discussions with Ebbsfleet Development Corporation and Kent County Council over the last 12 months.
Formal Design Review Forum is taking place in July 2023

THE PROPOSALS
The site forms part of the approved masterplan covering Eastern Quarry.
The Eastern Quarry outline planning permission is for up to 6,250 new homes, new businesses, retail, education, sports and leisure, health centres, care facilities, places of worship etc.
This means that the site will be in close walking distance to new parks, play areas, open spaces, sports facilities, schools, GPs, shops and community facilities.

The consultation period is now open, running from Friday 21st July and closing on Friday 11th August, so we want to hear from you.
