Parents and young people wishing to submit a request for assessment or who wish to ask their setting to do so on their behalf are advised to speak with their school or setting initially.
How to contact a SEND Case Officer
You can reach your case officer via email using the format of: name.surname@bcpcouncil.gov.uk
If the service is in high demand, you may have to allow up to five days for a response to an email, or up to three days for a response to a phone call.
Every child who is under assessment for an EHCNA has an identifier (number) so that they can access the SEND Progress Portal online, please go to Education Health and Care Plan portal (bcpcouncil.gov.uk) for further information on how to use the portal.
