Join VisitAberdeenshire and North East Adventure Tourism (NEAT) for a workshop to find out more about the potential of adventure tourism in the North East of Scotland.

  • Gain valuable insights from industry experts on the unique adventure tourism landscape in North East Scotland. Understand emerging trends, consumer preferences, and key growth areas, with Deirdre O’Donnell, VisitAberdeenshire’s Insights & Evaluation Manager, and Lorna Carnegie, Project Executive with Opportunity North East
  • Learn from some of the agencies who are supporting the adventure sector and are delivering adventure tourism projects and campaigns. Chris Foy, VisitAberdeenshire will highlight the support, and marketing campaign activity being delivered to promote the adventure tourism offer across the region. Will Clarke, NEAT Project Manager will update on the work they are doing to increase adventure tourism in the region. David Jackson, Visit Scotland will shine a light on cycling tourism and the practical advice and resources they have developed for businesses.
  • Hear real-life accounts from businesses that have thrived in the adventure tourism sector, and learn from their experiences, challenges, and successes. Chris Gibbs, Mountain Biking Guide who has operated all over the world and seen the good the bad and the ugly of hospitality making a difference to visitors. Calum Lockerbie, Bothies & Bannocks, based in Royal Deeside provides tours and outdoor experiences throughout Aberdeenshire, including a specialist adventure sports transport service.
  • Enjoy a networking lunch where you can connect with other tourism businesses as well as agencies who are supporting the adventure sector
